My Happy Place

Dear Diary,

Today, everything felt so tense around camp... I could feel it, all the anger between Nancy and Bunnydew.
I thought it was going to be a terrible day. Linny advised me to take some time alone in peace, and Mandew and her would take care of things.

I journeyed not far from camp, where I found a lake. I decided to lean against a tree and try to mute the chaos in my mind. I could still feel Nancy and Bunnydew arguing... Being an empath is difficult.

However, something very bizarre had happened. The lake started to become frothy, and, alerted by the sound, I saw bubbles floating out of it.

How intriguing, right? But that's not all. The bubbles were very large... As I was busy observing the lake, I noticed a shadow hover over me.
One of the bubbles was floating directly towards me.

"What the..."

Then, it landed on me, smothering me against the tree. I was so scared! I thought I was going to get crushed...

But then, I heard a weird noise and... I opened my eyes to see something wonderous. I was... floating off the ground. I was inside the bubble.

I was still scared for a little bit, but... then I was so amazed. As it brought me higher, I could see a spectacular scenery of what was it like above the canopy. I could see the lake, I could see even down the cliffs...

And then I realized, for the first time in my life... There was silence. I didn't hear my friends bickering. I didn't hear everyone's insecurities.

My mind was finally alone, capable of hearing myself think.

But instead of thinking, I wanted to bask in this peacefulness. Just above the canopy, where I floated, I took a rest. When I awoke, I was back near camp, just a skip and a hop away. The bubble was gone, however. I found my way back to see Mandew guarding camp - the others got worried and went looking for me.
I called them to get back to camp. Heehee! It looks like they stopped arguing because they were so worried about me.
